The Social Experience
Can I sign up with a friend or fly solo?
Either is great!
- Flying Solo? Perfect! In social leagues, most players sign up on their own. You’ll meet new people instantly since we rotate partners.
- Bringing a Friend? While you likely won’t play on the same court (since we match by skill), you can carpool and grab a drink after to recap your games!
I've never played pickleball! Can I still join?
Absolutely! We are truly beginner-friendly. We will match you with players at your skill level. Plus, for the first 4 weeks, we have court-side mentors on hand to help you with scoring, rules, and strategy to get you comfortable in no time!
Will this turn into a hyper-competitive DUPR showdown?
Definitely not! Our main goal is fun and friends. We keep leagues focused on the social side of the game. Currently, we welcome players from First-Timers up to Advanced Intermediate (~3.5 DUPR).
How does the ladder format work?
Our social ladder format means you play one doubles game with every other player on your court that night. The impact on your ladder ranking is determined by the total points you score across all three games. This means that win or lose, every point counts toward whether you move up a court (to face tougher competition) or down a court the following week!
Is there a referral bonus?
Yes! You get $25 for every friend you refer. There is no limit—you can play for free if you refer enough friends!
- How to claim it: Once everyone is signed up, message us via our Contact page with their names and your preferred payout method (Venmo username or Mailing Address for a check). We will process payments shortly after the league begins.
League Basics & Logistics
How do you keep things organized and communicate information?
We combine high-tech with high-touch!
- The App: You'll get access to a dedicated league app to view court assignments, enter game scores, check rankings and manage subs.
- The Coordinator: We have a League Coordinator on-site every night to answer questions and keep the games flowing.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. This gives you time to change, fill up your water bottle, and check the app for your court assignment so games can start promptly.
What gear should I bring to league night?
Just a pickleball paddle and ball! (If you forget your paddle or don't own one yet, don't sweat it—you'll have access to our paddle sponsor's amazing demo paddles for free on a first come first serve basis!)
What should I wear?
Think active and comfortable! Athletic shorts, leggings, t-shirts, and most importantly, court-friendly athletic sneakers (please, no dark-soled shoes that mark the courts).
I need to miss a league night. What should I do?
Plan ahead: Please message a League Admin in the app at least 3 days in advance so we can coordinate a sub for you.
Last-minute: If it's less than 3 days, we kindly ask that you find a sub yourself within the league app chat. This keeps our courts full and the fun going!
How does subbing work?
Need a Sub? See above! We help you if it's early; you help us if it's last minute.
Want to Sub? If you want to play extra pickleball, keep an eye on the app! You can pick up open slots to get more court time.
Note: Subbing games are just for fun—they do not count toward your ladder ranking.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, all participants must be 18 years of age or older.
What can I expect from the indoor facility?
We are hosted at Pickleball Kingdom, a premier indoor facility. You'll enjoy:
- Climate-controlled courts (perfect play, no matter the weather).
- Instant Replay cameras on every court to watch and share your highlights.
- Full Amenities including locker rooms and space for spectators to cheer you on.
- A Lounge Area to grab a drink and socialize after your games.
What is the refund policy?
You can receive a refund (minus a $10 administrative fee) up to 14 days before the league start date. After that, registrations are non-refundable to ensure we have balanced player counts for the league.
